Company Wants To Build More Apartments In Downtown Woodstock
Breezy Hill Land, LLC is petitioning the city to rezone close to 90 acres to accommodate a mixed-used community west of Main Street.
The Woodstock City Council on Monday will consider a request to annex and rezone land for a proposed mixed use community.
The council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center in downtown Woodstock.
Smyrna-based Breezy Hill Land, LLC is eyeing about 87.25 acres on the west side of Main Street and south of Barnesdale Terrace. The land is zoned downtown residential/office and medium density residential in Woodstock and residential in unincorporated Cherokee County.
The company is asking the city to annex about 59 of those acres and rezone the entire property to the downtown residential/office and medium density residential category with a conditional use permit to allow multi-family rental homes as part of a mixed-use community.
