Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt Encourages Residents To Explore

Participants will team up to gather photographic evidence of their journey through 100 different venues in Woodstock.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Woodstock residents will have the opportunity to learn about and explore Woodstock during the seventh annual Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt. Kicking off Aug. 2, the Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt provides a unique experience as participants team up to gather photographic evidence of their journey through 100 different venues in Woodstock.

The Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt 2019 is a free activity that will take participants on a journey through Woodstock. This event consists of 100 challenges where the participants must take creative photos of various things. Participants may not finish all 100, so challenges are scored by degree of difficulty.

Participants will have two weeks until Aug. 17 to complete as many of the tasks or challenges that they can out of a list of 100. Teams will be competing to win a $100 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificate. Any team that completes at least 25 challenges will be entered into a drawing to win a $40 Downtown Dollars gift certificate.

Submissions will be accepted at the Woodstock Visitors Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Participants are encouraged to bring pictures downloaded to a USB or flash drive (5 bonus points).

Whether you live in Woodstock, are visiting Woodstock, or work in Woodstock, you are welcome to take part in this fun community activity that will help you get to know the Woodstock area better.

Photo tasks include:

  • Browsing the books at Rose Creek Library
  • Signing the guestbook at the Woodstock Visitors Center
  • Shopping at the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market
  • Enjoying the music at the Little River Band concert
  • Play basketball at Dupree Park
  • Watching a race at Dixie Speedway
  • Paddling on Little River at Rope Mill Park on a canoe, kayak or paddle board
