The contest will start Aug. 21 and run through Sept. 5. This two week long hunt consists of 100 challenges featuring various things around Woodstock. Teams will take photos to show which challenges in the scavenger hunt they completed.

The event, which is free to take part in, will include prizes for the top teams, such as the chance to win a $100 Downtown Dollars gift certificate.

Scavenger Hunt activity list will be posted at 9 a.m. Aug. 21 on www.visitwoodstockga.com and the Downtown Woodstock Facebook page.

You can also pickup a hard copy of the activity list starting at 10 a.m. Aug. 21 at the Woodstock Visitor’s Center.

Participants will have two weeks to complete as many of the 100 challenges included in the hunt as they can. The challenges are scored on a scale depending on their degree of difficulty. Although you probably will not be able to finish all 100, choose wisely so you can get the most points out of each challenge.

This is a great way to be creative and have fun with friends and family; participants will take photos with a camera or cell phone to have visual proof of completing the challenges in the scavenger hunt.

Participants can expect a variety of challenges during the scavenger hunt. You will be learning about the history of Woodstock, performing an amusing task or making a funny face in your pictures, all while having a great time.
