Downtown Block Party Kicks Off Fourth of July in Woodstock

Residents are invited to come to downtown Woodstock on Friday and take part in the latest installment of Friday Night Live.

The theme for July 3 is Downtown Block Party, a block party organized to kick off the July 4th weekend. The festivities will start at 6 p.m.

Live music will set up shop in front of Seven Arrows as well as Cupcakelicious throughout the night. Some of what’s happening Friday evening:

-Your favorite fairy tale characters will come to life at Cupcakelicious from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come see, visit and take pictures with The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Alice in Wonderland and The Scottish Princess. Courtesy of Cupcakelicious and the princess party professionals at Enchant a Party.

-Reformation Brewery is participating with a Fourth of July, Indoor Block Party. Customers dressed in red, white and blue will receive $2 off glassware.

-Be You On Purpose Boutique will have face painting, balloons and goodie bags for the kids as well as a great sale at the boutique.

-Maxwell’s Cigar Bar will feature a performance by Georgia Back Porch Blues Band and outstanding specials from GTO cigars.

-Leaning Ladder will offer samples of S.i.p.s and Dips while challenging one another in a game of cornhole!

-Check out Elm Street Arts Revive the Reeves table at the event to find out how you can support this project

-Teen Arts Night, sponsored by the Teen Arts Guild (TAG): Bring your guitar, your karaoke CD, poetry, artwork and short stories to share with other creative, arts minded teens. $5 cash at the door provides a slice of pizza and a soda at intermission. Ages 12-15 will need to have a parent sign them in and out at the door. Event held at City Center
