Downtown Woodstock Is Going To The Dogs For Friday Night Live

The June 5 installment has been dubbed Dog Days of Summer.

Woodstock’s June installment of Friday Night Live will return to the central business district.

The theme for the June 5 event is Dog Days of Summer, and residents are encouraged to bring their pooches to the dog-related contests the city will hold.

Dog Days of Summer will feature a dog talent contest at 7 p.m. at the Park at City Center. The contest is free to enter and will include prizes for the top finsihers. Residents can show up at the park before 7 p.m. to enter the contest.

Robs Rescue and Bark Station will judge the contest.

The Woodstock Police Department‘s K-9 team will also perform demonstrations along with the contest.

Dog Days of Summer will also include several animal rescue groups set up around downtown Woodstock. The Cherokee County Animal Shelter will be in front of Blue Frog Imports, Our Pals Place will be down at Fashion Cupcake and You Lucky Dog Rescue will set up shop in front of Leaning Ladder.

A donation bin will be at the Woodstock Visitors Center where residents drop off any food or supplies for animals in need.
