Dupree Park Boardwalk, Fishing Pier Opens To Public
The project costs around $50,000 to build, and was done by Woodstock city staff.
WOODSTOCK, GA -- Woodstock city officials and staff hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony this week on the boardwalk and fishing pier at Dupree Park.
The project's cost was right around $50,000, and the work was done in-house by Woodstock Parks and Recreation and Public Works staff members.
“I am very proud of our team for the job well done on this project and believe citizens and visitors of Woodstock will enjoy this addition to Dupree Park,” said Woodstock Parks and Recreation Director Preston Pooser.

An audit of the lake at the park was conducted July 6 and involved crews from Aquatic Environmental Services measuring the health of the fish population at the lake. The results of the study can be viewed online. City staff members are reviewing the findings and will stock the lake as recommended.
Dupree Park at 513 Neese Road also features a large playground, restrooms, four tennis courts, two basketball courts, one-third of a mile fitness trail, a nine-hole disk golf course and two park pavilions. It's also home to a family-friendly mountain bike trail.
