Eagles, Wolverines Roll as Regular Season Ends
Etowah and Woodstock end the season on high notes, look forward to 5-AAAAA tournament on Thursday

The boys tennis team played their last regular season match against Marietta, and notched a 4-1 win over the Blue Devils. With the win, the Eagles end the season with a three-match winning streak and finish with a 10-4 record. They will take part in the Region 5-AAAAA Tournament which will start on Thursday.
Another team that will take part in the region tournament is the boys team, which notched two big wins last week. On Wednesday, they defeated River Ridge 5-0 and on the following day, the Wolverines took down Roswell 4-1. Ivan Vizcaya and Josh Bertram, who are the team’s No. 1 and No. 2 singles players, notched wins on both days. The Wolverines finish their season with a 9-6 record, 2-4 in region play. They will face Wheeler in the region playoffs on Tuesday.

The Etowah girls defeated Woodstock 4-1 on Tuesday and then took care of Marietta on Thursday, as they won all five matches. They end the regular season with a 10-4 record, 5-1 in Region 5-AAAAA.
The Woodstock girls were able to earn a victory in the final match of the year by defeating River Ridge 5-0. They end the season with a 10-5 record.
