Electronics Recycling, City-Wide Yard Sale Return To Woodstock
Woodstock will take part in the annual Georgia Cities Week with a week-long line up of events, including its annual Greenstock Day.

WOODSTOCK, GA-- Woodstock is gearing up for a week of events as part of its efforts to celebrate Georgia Cities Week, and one of those events will give you the opportunity to clear out clutter in your home.
Designated for April 22-29, Woodstock will be holding a variety of events, including a city-wide yard sale, Greenstock Day, a town hall meet-and-greet and Touch A Truck.
You also don't want to miss the annual Taste and Sound of Woodstock as well as the return of Woodstock Restaurant Week.

This is the 18th year Georgia Cities Week has been celebrated in the state, and this year's theme is dubbed “Cities in the Mix.”
“We’re very proud of our city and the services we provide that make it attractive to residents and visitors,” said Mayor Donnie Henriques. “Cities provide the services and infrastructure to help businesses grow and set the stage for events where families and individuals can gather as a community.”

For Greenstock Day, the city will host a recycling event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Woodstock Elementary School.
Residents will be able to drop off various electronics, batteries, compact fluorescent bulbs, clothing, shoes, textiles and shred sensitive documents.

Georgia Cities Week is sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association and showcases and celebrates the services these entities provide. Other city events include:
- City-wide yard sale, April 21-23: Residents are encouraged, city-wide, to hold yard sales. You can sign up by visiting the Parks and Recreation website and clicking on Special Events. Once there, submit your address online. Please put up individual street signs for days, hours, and directions. Be sure to remove the signs immediately after your sale. (Addresses for the Yard Sale Ads will be accepted until April 12).
- Sunday, April 23 – Taste & Sound of Woodstock: Hosted by Main Street Woodstock, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater. Click here for more details.
- Monday, April 24 – Towne Hall Meet & Greet: Come to the Chambers at City Center, beginning at 6 p.m., prior to the start of the Mayor and Council meeting at 7 p.m, to meet your elected officials and city staff. Representatives from each department will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.
- Friday, April 28 – March of Dimes' March for Babies event: The city is still looking for residents, businesses, families, friends, visitors, and staff of Woodstock to join the City of Woodstock Team in this year’s March for Babies. Cherokee County’s March for Babies will take place at Etowah River Park in Canton. Please visit https://www.marchforbabies.org/team/t2754499 to join our team or to donate to the cause.
- Saturday, April 29 – Woodstock’s Touch-A-Truck: Join the Fire, Police, and Public Works departments from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on East Main Street in downtown Woodstock, as they will have their vehicles and equipment on display for all to check out.
- Woodstock Restaurant Week: Sample dishes from participating restaurants and plan the can’t miss dining experiences around town April 23-29. Details here.
- "Where in Woodstock" Facebook Challenge: Follow the city on Facebook where staff will post pictures of various locations throughout Woodstock. Followers are encouraged to guess the correct location to win prizes.
