The easily took down the South Paulding Lady Spartans Saturday in the Buccaneer Bash Softball Tournament. The Lady Eagles scored four of their five runs in the first inning, with four of the first five batters reaching home plate.
All nine Etowah players contributed offensively, totalling 11 hits among them.
Etowah's Bridgette Flaherty pitched all seven innings, giving up only three hits to South Paulding. Flaherty shined in the second inning when she struck out three of four batters faced. She would go on to tally six total strikeouts.
