Etowah to Defend No. 5 Ranking

The (14-6, 5-1) baseball team is ranked fifth in the state, but has no cushion in the 5-AAAAA standings when it hosts Wheeler (13-7, 4-2) on Friday. A misstep by the Eagles not only drops the team into a tie with the Wildcats, but would allow Lassiter to take sole possession of first place in the region with a win.
