Fire Hydrant Maintenance Starts March 27 in Woodstock

Citizens are not expected to experience any water disturbance throughout the operation, the city notes.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Officials with Woodstock Fire and Rescue will begin fire hydrant maintenance this week throughout the city.

Beginning Monday, March 27, residents may see firefighters painting and greasing hydrants in their areas, but "should not experience water disturbance," the agency added.

Due to the level 1 Drought Response, only hydrants that were previously listed as out of service will be flowed.

The Woodstock fire department will notify citizens in the areas where they will be flowing hydrants before the work begins. The task, the department, added should be completed in one to two days.
