- A Woodstock church may suspend a former pastor from his honorary role of pastor emeritus. The First Baptist Church of Woodstock told members last Friday it may suspend its former lead preacher, Johnny Hunt, from his honorary role after allegations of sexual assault were included in a recent independent report of the Southern Baptist Convention. According to the report, investigators found "credible" allegations (including witness statements) that Hunt had sexually assaulted the wife of another pastor in 2010. Hunt has denied the allegations and stated the incident was consensual. (Cherokee Tribune Ledger News)
