It was a busy week of news across the Peach State, with stories such as a woman being tossed out of a town hall meeting, widespread flu blamed for at least two children's deaths, and a little boy reportedly killed by relatives for grabbing a cupcake. Here are some of the top headlines you may have missed from this week:
Sisters Killed Toddler For Taking Cupcake: District Attorney
A pair of Atlanta sisters are accused of beating a toddler to death — one of them using a baseball bat — after the little boy took a cupcake from the kitchen. LaShirley and Glenndria Morris were indicted by a Fulton County grand jury on charges of felony murder, aggravated assault and first-degree cruelty to children, District Attorney Paul Howard announced.

Flu cases spread across Georgia in the last week, state health officials say. A 5-year-old Marietta boy died of flu complications Saturday. It's also been reported that a 15-year-old Newnan girl died on Tuesday of flu symptoms. In Georgia, 25 of the 37 deaths reported Wednesday were to people 65 years old or older and 84 percent of the deaths were of people over 50.

A 5-year-old boy from Marietta has died from complications of the flu during what Georgia health officials are calling a particularly bad outbreak of the virus.
Resident Tossed Out Of Douglas County Town Hall Meeting: WATCH
A Douglas County resident was escorted out of a "Walking the Talk" town hall meeting Monday night when Douglas County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Ramona Jackson Jones told deputies to remove her after a heated exchange. About 200 to 250 people were in attendance.
