Fourth Annual Cherokee Career Expo, March 14

The expo has helped over 1,850 people in the past three years.

From COED: The Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED), in partnership with the Georgia Department of Labor, will host the fourth annual Cherokee Career Expo on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. The event will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Northside Cherokee Conference Center, located at 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA, 30114.

Over the past three years, the Cherokee Career Expo has assisted over 1,850 individuals in their job-seeking endeavors. This year’s expo brings together an impressive lineup of Cherokee County’s leading industries and employers, including Aramark, Belnick, Inc., Chart Industries, Inc., Georgia Highlands Medical Services, Inalfa Roof Systems, Jaipur Living, OECHSLER Motion, Inc. (adidas SPEEDFACTORY), Roytec Industries, Southeast Restoration Group, Universal Alloy Corporation, and many others.. The companies are looking to fill positions ranging from health care, engineering, and sales to customer service, project management, and warehouse opportunities.

“The Cherokee Career Expo features the county’s leading industries and employers while also connecting job-seekers with a rewarding career closer to home," said COED President Misti Martin. “With impressive companies such as OECHSLER Motion at the adidas SPEEDFACTORY, Jaipur Living, the Yanmar EVO//Center, and many others, there is no need to commute. World-class industries and household brands are right here in our own backyard, making Cherokee a great place to live and work.”

2017 Cherokee Career Expo attendee Scott Price represents one of the great success stories from last year’s event. He said, “The Career Expo allowed me to connect and network with more than 37 local employers. “Thanks to this opportunity, I was able to join OECHSLER Motion at the adidas SPEEDFACTORY.”

Representatives from Reinhardt University and Chattahoochee Technical College’s career services centers will be available at 1 p.m. for resume assistance. Employers will begin meeting with job seekers at 2 p.m. Candidates should dress for success and bring resumes.
