Friday Night Lives Brings Artistic Flair to Downtown Woodstock

Kick off your weekend in downtown Woodstock by celebrating the arts.

The November installment of Friday Night Live -- Nov. 6 -- has been coined Downtown Art Walk, and the central business district will not be lacking in visual creativity.

So, what can you expect as you make the trip to downtown Woodstock?

-At 6 p.m. GROW will be presenting trophies to the top 3 finishers in the Scarecrow Invasion event at the pedestrian railroad crossing. Everyone is invited to attend this presentation and to celebrate the winners. GROW will also dedicate an art bench on honor of resident Pat Tanner in recognition of all the volunteer work she has done for the area.

-Live music on the sidewalks in front of Seven Arrows and Cupcakelicious.

-$100 Downtown Gift Certificate Giveaway: for every $10 you spend at a downtown business during Friday Night Live, you can be entered into a drawing for a $100 Downtown Dollars Gift Certificate. Just bring your receipt for any purchase made at a downtown business during the event to the Woodstock Visitors Center to enter the contest.

-Reformation Brewery is a featuring an artist showcase that celebrates its values of acceptance, authenticity, humor, humility, moderation and story. Visit the brewery to check out the great art they will have on display.

-Blue Frog Imports will have art vendors set up in front of their store.

-A caricature artist will set up shop at the railroad pedestrian crossing.

-Henna tattoo artists will be set up in front of Outspokin during

-Artist Andrew Keener will be selling and promoting his artwork as well as his new illustration classes at Ember Hot Yoga

-Local pianist Bob Geresti will be playing live at Woodstock Pharmacy. Geresti will play his collection of music and he loves to accept a request. His full selection of songs are available on CDs and will be on sale.

-DaVinci Beads will have a sales representative at Woodstock Pharmacy.

-Chris Wold from Seven Sharp Nine playing from 7 p.m. 10 p.m. on Fire Stone Wood Fired Pizza Grill’s patio

-Peter Moreley will be performing at Copper Coin Coffee from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

-Emerging Authors Event at Foxtale Books featuring several great authors. This event starts at 6 p.m.
