Hugs In A Blanket Collection Drive Starts Nov. 6

The Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency will be collecting blankets and unisex slippers for residents of the Canton Nursing Center.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The holiday season is fast approaching, and the Cherokee Recreation & Parks Agency wants to look out for some residents who may be overlooked during the season of giving.

The agency will begin accepting donations on Monday, Nov. 6 for its Hugs in a Blanket initiative, which will support senior citizens at the Canton Nursing Center.

The collection drive will run through Dec. 8, and donations can be dropped off at CRPA's headquarters at 7545 Main Street Building 200 in Woodstock.
