ICYMI: Woodstock Police To Host National Night Out

The 32nd annual nationwide celebration will take place Tuesday, Aug. 4.

The Woodstock Police Department, in partnership with other local public safety agencies, joins forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 32nd annual National Night Out.

The free, family-friendly event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Park at City Center in downtown Woodstock.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts, strengthen police and community partnerships, and to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are uniting together to fight crime.

This event will feature K-9 demonstrations, Georgia State Patrol helicopter viewing, bounce houses, and more activities for children of all ages. Food and drinks will be made available courtesy of City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department with music provided by DJ Tim Cahill.

Other partnering agencies include: Georgia State Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Holly Springs Police Department, Woodstock Fire Department, Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office, and Cherokee County E-911 Center.

The Park at City Center is located at 101 Arnold Mill Road.
