Little Caesers Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

The suspect is accused of several incidents in unincorporated Cobb and Cherokee counties.

The man suspected in Tuesday’s armed robbery of a pizza restaurant in southwest Cherokee County has been taken into custody.

Bobby Lane Carpenter, 26, of Kennesaw was arrested Wednesday evening in Doraville for a similar crime, said Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker.

Carpenter remains at the DeKalb County Jail, and Cherokee sheriff’s investigators have secured warrants for armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony charges.

Cobb police have also taken out warrants for Carpenter for the armed robberies of Burger King at 4285 Bells Ferry Road in Kennesaw and RaceTrac at 4331 Bells Ferry Road in Acworth; and the robbery of QuikTrip at 4340 Bells Ferry Road in Kennesaw.

Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Little Caesers Pizza at 5574 Bells Ferry Road in southwest Cherokee County around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13.

This restaurant sits on the southeast corner of Bells Ferry and Highway 92 in unincorporated Acworth.

Witnesses said the suspect, a white male about 5’6’’ tall, entered the store, allegedly pulled up his shirt to display a firearm and demanded money, Baker previously told Patch.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
