Cherokee Rose Society Hosts DAR Georgia State Regent at Luncheon
The Cherokee Rose Society, Georgia State Society Children of the American Revolution, recently hosted Bea Fischer.

The Cherokee Rose Society, Georgia State Society Children of the American Revolution (G.S.S.C.A.R.), based in Cherokee County, recently welcomed DAR Georgia State Regent Bea Fischer by paging at a local luncheon hosted at Indian Hills Country Club, located in Marietta on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014.
NSDAR chapters Hightower Trail, Old Noonday and Etowah, along with four additional chapters, hosted the state regent for a luncheon. Members of the DAR support the Cherokee Rose Society (a.k.a. “Roses“) in ways of leadership, fundraising and membership. The Roses currently have 23 members from ages 4 months to 21 years old.
C.A.R. is the oldest lineage society for children promoting patriotism, American history and trains good citizens, develops leaders and promotes love of the United States of America and its heritage among young people.

Any boy or girl under the age of twenty-two is eligible for membership in the C.A.R., who is lineally descended from a man or woman who, with unfailing loyalty, rendered material aid to the cause of American Independence as a soldier, sailor, civil officer or recognized patriot in one of the several colonies or states, or of the United States, provided that the applicant is personally acceptable to the Society.
