Local Musician Works on Fall Release
Reid Stevens, talented local musician, already has four solo albums and is steadily working on another.

Reid Stevens said his music is a combination of styles, and he is right. Aside from covering legendary acts like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Beatles, Stevens does what many musicians may have overlooked. He wants to make an uplifting impression on his audience.
“I strive to put positive messages in all of my music with lyrics, and for instrumentals, I try to have the overall spirit behind the music be one that is encouraging,” Stevens said. “Life is way too short, and I believe in making music that makes a positive impact upon people.”
ReverbNation ranked Stevens among their top 10 Indie Artists for Atlanta. So what are the styles that Stevens combines to create this popular premium musical blend?

“It's a combination of indie, modern, progressive and classic rock mostly. I combine timeless, classic sounds, progressions and overall favorite music moments and incorporate that into my approach as a modern day singer-songwriter,” Stevens explained.
This approach includes a humanitarian mindset. Stevens focuses on people when he plays saying that he enjoys the experience of playing live.

“Being able to create something and share that with others is very rewarding. If it makes a difference in others' lives, then I have been successful."
This musician has been around the block musically. He wanted to be a singer-songwriter from a young age, and growing up with musical older brothers facilitated creativity. Stevens has written more than 300 songs and is now pursuing publishing and writing music for other artists. He has four solo albums available
“For the latest release Hopes & Dreams, I toured during the summer around Georgia and various parts of South Carolina, where I grew up. The response was just tremendous.”
Stevens is working on a compilation CD, Choice Picks, which will be available on Nov. 11. This project includes favorites from the past 10 years of Stevens' musical career as well as one new song added as a bonus track.
He has also been asked to contribute a Christmas song to a compilation album destined for stores this winter.
“I recorded an original track that I co-wrote with a friend. It was inspired by the classic film It's a Wonderful Life, featuring Jimmy Stewart. I originally thought about writing a song for the compilation called, Yule Shoot Your Eye Out, inspired from the never-ending but hilarious holiday movie The Christmas Story, but I thought twice about it. Maybe that one will appear on next year's Christmas album,” Stevens laughed.
