A Look Back On 2018 At Next Step Ministries In Woodstock

What an amazing year we've had serving clients with special needs in our community!

*Next Step Ministries in Woodstock serves primarily adults with developmental disabilities who have aged out of high school.*

We began in January by opening a satellite facility as we had outgrown our main facility. We are now able to serve up to an additional 15 clients. Our main facility continues to grow as well. Because of our ability to work with medically fragile clients with moderate to profound developmental disabilities, we have seen a surge in this group with more expected in the next 6 months.

Other highlights this past year include a new van (thanks to a Cherokee County CDBG grant) to transport our clients to community outings; our website has been totally revised and updated to better inform people of our program services; our best Run, Walk, or Roll 5K fundraiser yet; a new Case Manager to help families with resources; a new Volunteer Coordinator with more and better trained volunteers; and additional staff to serve our clients. God has blessed us richly.

What will 2019 bring? It depends on you! Believe it or not, 2019 will be our 10th Year of serving our special needs clients and their families. We need more space to serve our clients. We need more staff to provide quality care of our increasingly complex and involved clients. We need more supplies to care for them. We are growing because the need for these services is so great.

Visit our website www.NextStepMinistries.net for more information, to volunteer or to donate. Remember 1 John 3:18 tells us “...let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.”
Pray about what God would have you do!

Merry Christmas,
Lori Baker, Executive Director
