UPDATE: Missing Elderly Resident Has Been Found

Henry Jackson "Jack" Gilman, 85, was originally reported missing from Woodstock.

UPDATE at 9:28 p.m.: The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office said Jack Gillman has been located and “is safe.”

An 85-year-old Cherokee County resident has been reported missing, and residents have been asked to help locate him and his vehicle.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office has issued a Mattie’s Call for Henry Jackson “Jack” Gilman, who was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Friday leaving Walmart on Bells Ferry Road at Eagle Drive in Woodstock.

Gillman is a white male who has gray hair, green eyes and wears gold-framed eyeglasses, according to the agency’s alert.

Gillman was last seen wearing tan pants, tan shoes and a tan checkered button down shirt. He’s 6’2’’ and weighs about 185 pounds. He drives a gold four-door 2004 Toyota Camry bearing Georgia tag PHN4078.

The sheriff’s office also said he’s “known to suffer from dementia.”
