In Memory: Steve Tengzelius, 51, Talented Craftsman Had Servant's Heart
The Woodstock resident's hobbies included fishing, spending time with his family, sports and coaching baseball.

Mr. Steven Paul Tengzelius, age 51, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on January 19, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a lengthy illness.

Steve was born in New York on October 11, 1964. He moved to Georgia at an early age, and would remain in Georgia since then. Steve graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta. He was a friend to all.
Mr. Tengzelius was best known, by friends and family, to have a servant heart. He was a selfless, humble, loyal friend who lead by example, and would do anything he could to help others. He was tender-hearted, lovable, with a great personality and a strong Christian faith.

Steve was also a talented craftsman in the art woodworking and refurbishing furniture. In his professional career, he was a carpenter and well versed in home construction and anything wood –related. His hobbies include fishing, coaching baseball, a bit more fishing, and watching sports (Ohio State Buckeyes). Steve enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife, son, and his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Loree, son; Lane, parents; Paul and June Tengzelius, sister; Beth (Mike) Julian, sisters-in-law; Stacey Broome, Melissa (William) Barfield, Malinda James, father and mother-in-law; Terry and Sharon Emrich, nieces; Madison Broome, Savannah Broome, and Rylee Barfield, nephew; J.J. Julian. Close friends and extended family also survive.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22 at Lakeside Funeral Home.
A brief visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Woodstock from noon to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 at First Baptist Church of Woodstock with Pastor Johnny Hunt officiating.
Interment to follow at Enon Cemetery in Woodstock.
