• APD detective charged with shoplifting in Cherokee County (newsbreak.com) — An Atlanta Police detective who lives in Woodstock was arrested in Cherokee County earlier this month, accused of shoplifting a 12-pack of beer from the Publix in Hickory Flat. He was released on bond the same day, and Atlanta Police have relieved him of duty while their Office of Professional Standards investigates.
   

• CWA Announces 'She Prays, She Votes' National Bus Tour Starting October 2 (concernedwomen.org) — A national "She Prays, She Votes" bus tour by Concerned Women for America will bring a free rally to Woodstock on October 26, encouraging women to pray, engage, and vote in the November 3, 2026 midterm elections. The conservative Christian group's Big Pink Bus will stop in several states, with details and registration available online for Woodstock residents who want to attend.
