Missing Woodstock Man Found Alive

Gerald Hickman, 63, was reported missing by his family Tuesday afternoon.

A 63-year-old Woodstock man is being treated at an area hospital after he was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office said Gerald Hickman, who lives on Rock Springs Lane, was last seen by his family around 3 p.m. Aug. 19.

Hickman, who suffered a stroke last week, was believed to be on foot in the Arnold Mill Road and Hardman Lane area. Hickman was eventually found during the overnight hours of Wednesday, Aug. 20 in a wooded area behind a home on Rock Springs lane overnight Wednesday.

Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said Hickman “was conscious, but disoriented” and was transported to Northside Hospital-Cherokee for treatment.
