MUST Ministries To Host Dance Competition Fundraiser

Six amateur dancers pair off July 21 with six professionals to raise money for programs that fight poverty and homelessness.

In partnership with Fred Astaire Dance Studio, MUST Ministries will present “MUST Dance” at the YANMAR Evo Center at 5889 Old Alabama Rd. in Acworth on July 21, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event gives six MUST supporters – all of whom are amateur dancers – the opportunity to be paired with professional dance instructors to benefit MUST Ministries' programs that help people escape poverty and homelessness and make new lives for themselves.

Besides the dance competition, guests will enjoy appetizers and a silent auction. General Admission or Standing Room tickets to the event are $50 each, while VIP tickets are $250. Each dollar donated counts for one vote for the ticketholder’s favorite contestant. Cocktail attire is appropriate.

Supporters can “vote” for their favorite dancer by donating online to help them win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. The dancers explain their motivations for participating in the event in videos posted on the MUST website.
