Officers, Civilians Recognized For Service To Community
The men and women of the Cherokee Sheriff's Office and Woodstock Police Department were commended for exceeding their duties.

Woodstock, GA -- Seven Cherokee Sheriff’s deputies, two Woodstock Police officers and five civilian employees were recognized on Tuesday at the Cherokee County Commission meeting for going above and beyond their everyday service to the community.

Deputy Jason Lupo, Deputy George Spammer and Deputy Daniel Rowland received Life Saving Awards.
Captain Joe Satterfield, Sergeant Alex Azaroff, Corporal Joseph Arena and Deputy Daniel Rowland received Sheriff’s Commendation Awards. The Sheriff’s Citation for Bravery was given to Lieutenant Mark Anderson, Corporal Joseph Arena and Woodstock Police officers Travis King and Max Karneol.

Also presented at the Commission meeting was the Sheriff’s Unit Citation.
This award was given to civilian employees assigned to GCIC/NCIC (Georgia Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center). On hand to receive the award were Daniel Westbrook, Gladys Felix, Karyl Evans, Tammy Butler and Avram Powell.
