Upon arrival, Lt. Bob Kline, Sgt. Randy Milligan and officer Matthew Carroll located business owner Andy Jabaley, who was performing CPR on Shwedo.
Sgt. Milligan immediately took over CPR, was relieved by Lt. Kline and Carroll utilized an Automated External Defibrillator device to administer a shock to Shwedo. Firefighters took over patient evaluations, and Shwedo eventually developed a pulse and began to breathe on his own.

He was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he received follow-up care.
On Friday, officers and firefighters made a trip to the Highway 92 office to welcome Shwedo back to work.
“Everything just fell in place perfectly on this day," Lt. Kline said. "We would be remiss if we did not commend the business owner, Andy Jabaley, for being trained in CPR. Seeing Mr. Shwedo back at work months after we were dispatched to the call is rewarding."
In 2014, the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation purchased AED’s for each patrol officer to carry while on duty.
