One Warm Coat Drive Starts in Woodstock
The Woodstock Lions Club will set up a bin at Copper Coin Coffee to collect coats for less fortunate residents Dec. 29 through Jan. 29.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- For the millions of Americans living at or below the poverty line, the ability to purchase a warm coat for the winter months is something they simply can't afford.
That's where the Woodstock Lions Club is stepping in and asking local residents to help close that gap.
The Woodstock Lions Club is collaborating with One Warm Coat to collect clean, gently used warm coats, and monetary donations to support the coat drive program.

The Lions Club said its goal is to collect 250 coats and $200 during the month-long campaign.
“For more than 20 years we have been working to provide a warm coat to anyone who needs one," said Jennifer Stockard, president and CEO One Warm Coat. "We are so thankful for our many coat drive ambassadors, like Woodstock Lions Club, who volunteer their time, resources and energy to help their neighbors in need. Together, we can reach our goal of warming one million people each winter, one community at a time.”
