Police Nab Alleged Heroin Trafficker in Woodstock

Woodstock, GA -- Agents with the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad arrested a man accused of trafficking heroin Tuesday evening in Woodstock.

Acworth resident Chad Nielsen, 22, is accused of delivering 8.2 grams of heroin to an undisclosed location in Woodstock where he was taken into custody, CMANS said.
With Nielson was 29-year-old Kennesaw resident Christopher Gibson, who was in possession of a small quantity of heroin and a firearm that the two allegedly had arranged to sell, the agency states.

Both men were taken into custody. Following those arrests, agents went to Nielsen’s home and seized two additional firearms.
Nielsen is charged with trafficking heroin, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Gibson was charged with possession of heroin and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Nielsen remains in custody without bond while Gibson is being held with a $33,400 bond, Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jay Baker said.
CMANS is a joint task force that investigates drug-related crimes in Cherokee County. Along with the sheriff’s office, participating agencies include Canton, Woodstock, Holly Springs and Ball Ground police departments, Cherokee County Marshal’s Office, Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Georgia State Patrol.
