Senior Extravaganza Highlights Valuable Resources In Cherokee

WOODSTOCK, GA -- This weekend, the Cherokee Triad S.A.L.T (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) organization will host the 10th Annual Senior Extravaganza.

The Extravaganza will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency's main offices at 7545 Main Street Building 200 in Woodstock.
Dale Walz, chairperson of the Cherokee Triad S.A.L.T. and this year’s coordinator of the event, said she is thrilled with the overwhelming support by the local businesses and educational speakers for this year’s event.

If you are a senior or have a senior in your life, you are more than welcome to come out and enjoy all the resources that will be available.
There will more than 50 vendors, health screenings, a fashion show and several informative seminars for seniors.
These seminars will be held every 30 minutes, and will touch on topics such as nutrition for seniors and diabetics, basic home maintenance, self defense, legal documents needed in your senior years and the key to a successful retirement from driving.

Cherokee S.A.L.T. is a partnership with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office, the police departments of Canton, Holly Springs and Woodstock and other organizations tasked with identifying and developing programs that address the needs and concerns of older residents.
