UPDATE: South Cherokee Lane Reopens to Traffic

UPDATE at 9:56 a.m.: South Cherokee Lane has reopened to vehicular traffic.

ORIGINAL STORY

Motorists who rely on a narrow, yet well traveled road in Woodstock to access east Cobb County has been temporarily shut down to vehicular traffic.

South Cherokee Lane, which connect Highway 92 in Woodstock to Jamerson Road in northeast Cobb, is closed due to power lines in the roadway, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office’s Division of Emergency Management said.

The road is expected to be closed for at least two hours, and motorists are expected to find an alternate route.
