Traffic Alert: Lane Closure Planned On I-575 in Woodstock
One northbound lane of I-575 will close between Highway 92 to Ridgewalk Parkway for the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes Project.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation will proceed with lane closures in connection to several infrastructure improvement projects in the metro Atlanta area.

In Cherokee County, motorists can expect one northbound lane to close between S.R. 92/Alabama Road and Ridgewalk Parkway nightly from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday in connection to the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes Project.

- On I-285, traffic traveling on the eastbound collector-distributor lane to I-75 northbound will be directed to take the I-75 southbound exit ramp (Exit 20) to Cumberland Boulevard. Traffic will then be directed to turn left on Cumberland Boulevard followed by another left to then enter I-75 northbound via the ramp from Cumberland Boulevard. The I-75 southbound ramp to I-285 eastbound collector lanes (Exit-259A) will also be closed, and traffic will need to take the primary ramp (Exit 259) to access I-285 eastbound from I-75 southbound. The detour will take place nightly from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Sunday (see attached map).
- On I-75, two southbound lanes will close between S.R. 280/Delk Road and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- A traffic pace will take place on all southbound lanes between S.R. 120 Loop/South Marietta Parkway and Windy Hill Road from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5-10 miles per hour to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
Construction on the Express Lanes project is expected to result in delays, and motorists are advised to slow down and proceed with caution through work zones.
