Four Injured In 4-Vehicle Crash In Canton
The collision was reported late Friday morning on the northbound side of I-575 near Exit 16.
CANTON, GA -- Four people were transported to the hospital late Friday morning following a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 575 in Canton.
Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and state troopers responded to the crash around 11:15 a.m. June 30 on the northbound side of the interstate near Exit 16.
Crews arrived on the scene to find four vehicles involved in the crash. According to the Georgia State Patrol, all four vehicles were traveling northbound when they came upon traffic that had been stopped due to the Canton Police Department investigating another crash.

A Chevrolet Tahoe failed to stop and hit three other vehicles, the agency said. The SUV, which was hauling a boat, left the roadway and "ended up in some trees," the Cherokee fire department added.
A female passenger inside the SUV complained of lower back pain and was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment. The driver of a black Nissan Sentra complained of neck pain and she was taken to Northside Hospital Cherokee for evaluation.

The state patrol office said a total of four people were transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
