Veterans Day Ceremony Set For Wednesday

The city of Woodstock's event will start at 7 p.m. at the Park at City Center.

Residents in and around Woodstock are invited to attend the city’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony.

The candlelight ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 11, will kick off at 7 p.m. at the Park at City Center.

Woodstock’s celebration, co-sponsored by the Marine Corps League Detachment 1311, American Legion Post 316 and Warriors’ Watch Riders, is described as one that will honor America’s veterans for their patriotism and willingness to serve.

Attendees should note that parking at the lower level at the park will be off limits due to the construction of the new amphitheater. 

Residents will also be able to drop off any dirty, torn and retired flags unfit to fly for proper disposal at collection boxes located in the parking lot of the Woodstock Senior Center at 223 Arnold Mill Road and next to the city’s War Memorial at the park.
