Woodstock Citizens Public Safety Academy Now Accepting Applications

Class participants will be exposed to various aspects of the public safety field, including police, fire and jail operations.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The Woodstock Police and Fire departments are now accepting applications for the Fall 2017 Citizens Public Safety Academy, which is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, Aug. 31.

Classes for the Citizens Public Safety Academy will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays from Aug. 31 to Nov. 9.

Anyone who lives, works or has an expressed in the city of Woodstock can apply for acceptance into the academy. Class participants will be exposed to various aspects of the public safety field, including police, fire and jail operations.

Applicants are required to be at least 19 years of age and submit to a background investigation prior to acceptance in the program. Once accepted, positions are awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

Citizens’ Public Safety Academy applications are available at the Woodstock Police Department, located at 12453 Highway 92 or can be downloaded online.
