Community Mural Ribbon Cutting Set For July 21 (ICYMI)
The mural is on the southern wall of Woodstock Pharmacy, and is designed to highlight the city's history in a fresh and engaging way.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The highly anticipated mural that's been years in the making will make its formal debut to the public on Saturday in downtown Woodstock.
A ribbon cutting marking the completion of the Woodstock Community Mural will be held at 6 p.m. July 21 at the Woodstock Visitors Center at 8588 Main Street. Artist Annalysa Kimball has created an in-depth exhibit detailing the mural process, which will be on display through the month of July at the Visitors Center.
The city of Woodstock in 2015 was awarded a grant and technical assistance from the Atlanta Regional Commission as part of its first Atlanta Regional Public Art Program. The ARC awarded the grant to four communities for the program to help local entities "realize their respective visions for public art."

The Woodstock Downtown Development Authority, its Convention and Visitors Bureau and Preservation Woodstock teamed up to recreate the mural on Wayne Lester building. Proposals were solicited for the project, and the city chose Kimball for the project. That building, which was located at the northwest corner of Towne Lake Parkway and Main Street, has since been demolished.
