Woodstock Corrects Utility Billing Mistake
An error in data transmission caused some Woodstock utility bills to reflect inaccurate usage.

An error in transmitting data to the city of Woodstock's billing processor resulted in the city's water and sewer bills reflecting inaccurate usage.
The city's billing system crashed during its generation process, City Manager Jeff Moon said.
"Apparently, when (our vendor) CSI repaired it remotely, the portion of the file containing the usage became corrupt," he said. "It was transmitted to our printer/mailer who did not catch the error."

Moon added none of the bills that were set to go out to customers acquired the current usage. If the account had a balance, the balance was reflected, but not the current usage.
The bills were corrected Friday afternoon and new ones will be delivered to customers.
