Woodstock High SkillsUSA Team Helps Community
The Woodstock High School SkillsUSA team created hygiene and food packs for homeless veterans in Cherokee County.
WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock High School SkillsUSA team led by Law and Justice teacher Laura Antonelli completed the first of its many planned community service projects for the school year.
The 21 students gathered to assemble 50 hygiene packs and 60 food packs for homeless veterans in partnership with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office and the American Legion’s Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program.
“I am so pleased to be a part of an event which encompasses community members and students alike, coming together to help those in need,” she said. “SkillsUSA at Woodstock HS aims to help those within our community.”

Sophomore Alyssa Jones said the experience was very meaningful for students.
“This eye-opening experience has shown me not all people have the same advantages as others."
