Woodstock Man Was Pedestrian Killed Trying to Cross I-75

Selvin Lopez-Lorenzo, 20, of Woodstock was trying to cross I-75 near Delk Road when he was struck.

A Woodstock man has been identified as the victim in the fatal hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Cobb County Wednesday night during the height of the snowstorm.

Marietta Police say Selvin Lopez-Lorenzo, 20, of Woodstock was trying to cross I-75 near Delk Road when he was struck by an “unknown type vehicle.”

Lorenzo’s body was found in the middle of the northbound lanes after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Police responded to a call of a person down when they discovered the body. Police spokesman David Baldwin said investigators on scene believed the victim's injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
