Police in Woodstock were able to connect the dots after meeting counterparts in Cobb County following an officer-involved shooting over the weekend.

Cobb police say the incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at a Shell station at 2678 Windy Hill Road in Marietta. Officers were in the area trying to locate a 2015 gray Ford Focus possibly occupied by people thought to be connected to a fatal Oct. 7 shooting of a man outside a Cobb restaurant.

That vehicle, Cobb police say, was also wanted in connection to other armed robberies around metro Atlanta.

Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle in the parking lot of the gas station when the driver allegedly accelerated towards them.

"After striking an officer with the car, in an attempt to defend themselves, officers fired multiple rounds at the driver," Cobb police said.

Ledbetter, identified as the driver, was shot and transported to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. He was subsequently transported to the Cobb County jail on charges of obstruction and aggravated assault on a police officer.

Ledbetter, Cobb police say, is also wanted on an attempted murder charge out of Broward County, Florida.

Greene, who was identified as the front seat passenger, fled the scene on foot, but was later captured a short distance away. After he was interviewed by detectives, he was transported to the Cobb jail and charged with obstruction.

Cobb police say a third male suspect was also inside the vehicle, but they note he was not injured and his identity is being withheld at this time.

After comparing notes and following up on leads, Woodstock detectives charged the three suspects in connection to last week's armed robbery at the outlet mall.

Woodstock police responded around 2:05 p.m. Oct. 11 to the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta at 915 Ridgewalk Parkway and met with the victim, who recounted the incident to authorities.

The man told police he was walking through the parking lot when he was stopped by a man, who brandished a semi-automatic handgun and "demanded the victim’s necklace and hat," Woodstock police previously told Patch.

At that point, another suspect exited a vehicle and also approached the victim. Both suspects demanded the victim hand over additional items and threatened to shoot him before a passing vehicle approached the area, Woodstock police added.

Both suspects hopped into their vehicle, possibly a gray rental 2015 or 2016 Ford Focus with Florida tags, and fled the scene. A third female suspect was also placed inside the vehicle, but the victim could not provide a physical description to her at that time.

Woodstock police note they will not release photos of the suspects at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
