Woodstock Police, Convoy Of Care Collecting Items For Louisiana

Woodstock Police Department will partner with Convoy of Care for disaster relief collection efforts for the residents of Louisiana.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock Police Department is partnering with Convoy of Care on Tuesday for disaster relief collection efforts for the residents of Louisiana.

Although many New Orleans residents now have power and running water again, many residents of rural communities outside the city are still waiting. Items collected will primarily be distributed to Thibodaux, Houma and Montegut.

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, Convoy of Care will be collecting items at the following locations:

  • First Baptist Church of Woodstock
    • 11905 Hwy 92, Woodstock
    • Collections will take place off Gunnin Road
  • WSB-TV
    • 1601 W. Peachtree St., N.E., Atlanta
  • Caring For Others
    • 3537 Browns Mill Rd SE, Atlanta

Specific items needed include personal hygiene kits, cleaning supplies, box fans, flashlights, batteries, heavy-duty extension cords, cleaning supplies and laundry detergent.
