Woodstock Police Need Donations For South Ga. Tornado Victims

The Woodstock Police Department is partnering with First Baptist Church of Woodstock and U-Haul to host a local donation drive.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- The Woodstock Police Department is partnering with First Baptist Church of Woodstock and U-Haul (Woodstock) to host a local donation drive for South Georgia tornado victims. As needs have rapidly increased, the city said it is calling on Woodstock to help them help their neighbors in South Georgia.

Convoy of Care and WSB-TV are asking for the community's help in collecting infant and adult personal hygiene supplies (diapers, wipes, soap, etc.), non-perishable food items, gloves, yard tools (all new and unopened), and gift cards (Target, Walmart, Home Depot).

Donations can be dropped off to a pod located on First Baptist Church of Woodstock campus, at the southeast corner of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock parking lot off Gunnin Road near Trickum Road today, March 15 until 7 p.m.

A representative from the police department will be onsite to assist with unloading.

Donations will be taken to a drop-off location in Atlanta for delivery to South Georgia on Friday evening.
