Woodstock Releases Fireworks Traffic Control Plan Ahead Of July 4
The City of Woodstock is set to host its annual Independence Day fireworks display on Saturday in the area of Woodstock Square Avenue.
WOODSTOCK, GA — The City of Woodstock is set to host its annual Independence Day fireworks display on Saturday, July 4. The Woodstock Police Department announces the following traffic control plan in preparation for this event.
At dusk, the City of Woodstock will offer its annual fireworks display in the area of Woodstock Square Avenue. It is anticipated that there will be a high volume of vehicular traffic on the roadways associated with this event. At the conclusion of the display, the Police Department will direct motorists to comply with the following:
- All traffic parked south of Highway 92 (including Super Target, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Lowe’s, Molly Lane and Woodstock Square Avenue) will be directed to turn right onto Highway 92 and travel east.
- All traffic parked north of Highway 92 (including The Home Depot, Big Lots, Hennessey Honda, and I-HOP) will be directed to turn right onto Highway 92 and travel west.
- No left turns or U-turns will be permitted on Highway 92 during or after the scheduled event until the streets and parking lots are clear.
Sign boards will be present at exits to assist motorists with direction of travel.

Motorists are reminded to drive with caution around pedestrians, comply with uniformed police officers directing traffic, and allow for extra travel time to and from the event.
