Woodstock Wants Feedback On Highway 92 Redevelopment
The city next week will kick off its Highway 92 Corridor Livable Centers Initiative Study with a community input meeting.

The city of Woodstock will soon kick off the process on getting citizen input on its plans to encourage redevelopment along Highway 92.
City staff has scheduled a community input meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 12, and residents are invited to provide feedback on the future of the Highway 92 corridor.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center, located at 8534 Main Street.

The public is being asked to provide input to create a “shared vision for the future growth of this important gateway,” according to the Highway 92 Corridor Livable Centers Initiative Study’s website.
Residents can also fill out a survey on the project.

The city is seeking guidance from residents and stakeholders on the redevelopment of the state highway. The project expands upon the 2002 Downtown Woodstock LCI project, which led to the recent improvements made to Main Street.
The LCI study area includes roughly 400 acres adjacent to Highway 92 east of Interstate 575. Its boundaries include I-575 to the west, the back of parcels adjacent to and Highway 92 to the north, parcels adjacent to Stonecroft Lanes to the east and the back of parcels adjacent to Highway 92 to the south.
The LCI would also identify appropriate investment projects to improve the “aesthetics and functionality of this corridor.”
