Woodstock Wants To Hire Chief Court Clerk
The full-time position would provide support to the city's police records and Municipal Court divisions.

The city of Woodstock is looking to hire an “experienced, motivated” person to work as its chief court clerk.
The position would require the employee to provide a “wide variety of clerical and administrative support” in the daily operations of the city’s police records and Municipal Court divisions.
The employee also works under the general supervision of the records/court services coordinator.

Applicants are required to:
- have a high school diploma or GED equivalent;
- course work in typing and/or general office practices;
- two years prior work experience in clerical, secretarial, paralegal or administrative work; or
- an equivalent combination of education, training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to include, but not be limited to: considerable knowledge of general office procedures, working knowledge of legal language and legal procedures; some knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices; and skills in operating the following tools and equipment: personal computer system, including word processing and specialized court software, 10-key calculator, typewriter, phone, copy and fax machine and recording system;
- ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis with the public; maintain effective working relations with employees, other departments, officials and the public; and
- ability to maintain accurate records; ability to type and enter data accurately.
