Opossum caught at Honolulu Harbor (hawaii.gov) — An opossum was recently trapped at a freight facility in Honolulu Harbor, prompting state agriculture officials to test it for rabies and remind residents that Hawaiʻi remains rabies-free. Inspectors say this is one of several recent opossum discoveries around Oʻahu, including Downtown Honolulu and Kalihi, underscoring the ongoing need for vigilance at local ports and big-box stores.
   

4. Federal officials tour road improvement projects on Oʻahu (khon2.com) — Federal and state transportation officials toured key Oʻahu highway projects, including emergency H-3 repairs from Kona Low storm damage and a $112 million H-1 widening near the Gulick Avenue Overpass in urban Honolulu.
