• New workforce housing under construction near Queen's Medical Center (alohastatedaily.com) — A new 27‑unit workforce housing building is rising on Miller Street under Honolulu's Bill 7 program, aimed at renters earning up to 80% of area median income. Near Queen's Medical Center, the project will offer mostly one‑bedroom units, elevated parking, and long‑term affordability requirements tied to Honolulu's AMI limits. 
• More than 7,000 Kauai outages reported as Hurricane Lowell hits (kitv.com) — Honolulu and the rest of Oahu are under a Tropical Storm Warning as Hurricane Lowell passes just to the west, bringing dangerous winds, heavy rain, and high surf today. Residents are urged to finish preparations, stay indoors, and be ready for flash flooding, power outages, and hazardous coastal conditions through at least Tuesday.
