• ‘Just for Fun' culinary classes at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College : Maui Now (mauinow.com) — Hands-on “Just for Fun” cooking classes are returning to the UH Maui College Kahului campus starting Saturday, June 6, giving residents a chance to sharpen kitchen skills with summer-friendly recipes. Sessions run Saturday mornings in the Pā‘ina Building, cost $90 each, and cover everything from cream puffs to knife safety and foundational stocks, soups, and sauces. 
• Historic Pacific Ocean Row reaches half-way point to Maui : Maui Now (mauinow.com) — A four-man crew rowing 3,100 miles from Washington to Maui plans to land at Kahului Small Boat Harbor, depending on weather and state clearance. They’ve passed the halfway mark after battling storms, cold, and barnacles, and are raising funds to support trauma recovery work for veterans, first responders, and grieving fathers while the Maui community follows their progress online.
