• HFD extinguishes blaze at abandoned home in Kaneohe (kitv.com) — An early-morning fire tore through an abandoned single-story home in Kaneohe on Monday, sending up a large smoke column but causing no injuries. Honolulu firefighters quickly upgraded the blaze to a second alarm, brought it under control in just over 20 minutes, and confirmed no one was inside. Investigators are now working to determine the cause and damage estimates.
